The 1962 Chevy Bel Air was a hardtop coupe with an overall length of 209.6 inches (5,320 mm). The series’ standard engine was a 409-cubic-inch, six-cylinder V8 that offered 380 hp and 305 lb-ft of torque. The wagons were all four-door versions, though the BelAir line was no longer available. The roofline was a little different, and the hardtop had a more streamlined look.
